I’m Kathleen. My love of color, art & scrapbooking started with a sticker collection in the eighth grade. I’ve been making scrapbook pages since 1994. I started when they were using special scissors and cutting shapes with pictures. My current style favorites include using black and white with a pop of color and adding embellishments, like glitter and ribbon. I always love learning new techniques and styles.

I work as an Independent Consultant for Close To My Heart – my happy place! I truly am addicted to scrapbooking, that’s my business name, Scrapbook Addict. I’ve tried online scrapbooking, card making, home décor, faithbooking, favor making and stamping. Add it all together and that’s what I do. As a Consultant, I do in-home parties and put together workshops and crops in my area.

Other interests include DIY and learning home decorating, gardening, baking and reading. I’m a soap opera fan (GH, DAYS, Y&R and B&B, among other cancelled soaps.) God and my family come first. I read blogs, magazines and Facebook, sometimes I even get a real book in there.

I grew up in Detroit – yeah, I’m a city girl! – and now live in a suburb, Dearborn, MI. I love it here. I have my husband and 3 cats who make my life what it is, crazy!
