This recipe is perfect for your next cookout. It’s quick, easy, and a nice change of pace from your usual burgers. The recipe is followed by a fun craft that is perfect for Father’s Day, or any day for that matter!

Salsa Burgers

Ingredients:

• 1 lb lean ground beef

• 5 tablespoons of your favorite salsa

• 1 tablespoon of taco seasoning mix

• Buns

• Cheddar or Mozzarella cheese (1 slice for each burger)

• Lettuce

• Tomato

Directions:

1. Combine ground beef, salsa, and taco seasoning.

2. Grill burgers over medium low heat, flipping once. You may also cook
these on the stove top.

3. Add cheese if desired.

4. Remove cooked burgers from grill and add your favorite toppings.

5. Serve with chips and salsa.

A Father’s Day Album is a very simple, but meaningful craft kids of all ages
can create.

You will need:

• Construction paper

• Markers, crayons, or paints—whatever you have on hand.

• 1 three ring binder

• 1 pack of sheet protectors

• Scissors

• Glue

Directions:

Each child creates a memory page for Dad. A memory page contains photos, drawings, stories, and anything else that the child wants to include.

Everything on the page relates to a fun activity the child remembers participating with Dad over the last year.

Use a piece of paper for each memory, and let the child draw, write, color or paint their memory. Kids and teens that are past the crayon stage can create their pages on the computer with clip art or digital photos.

After the memory pages are complete, slide each page in a sheet protector. The idea is to keep all of the memory pages in a three ring binder, and add to it each year.

This is also a great way to start your own family scrapbook. Every few months or so, turn a rainy day into scrapbook day. Let the kids create memory pages from the past few months, and add it to the album.

A new cookout recipe and going through Dad's homemade scrapbook is a perfect way to spend Father’s Day.
