You will need:
* Bird template (available here)
* Toilet paper tube or paper towel tube
* Light green floral paper, around 6 inches square
* Yellow card stock, 8-1/2 by 11 inches
* Dark olive green paper, 6 inches by 1/2inch wide
* Light olive green paper, 8-1/2 by 2 inches (or enough to make five pieces, each measuring 1 inch by 2.5 inches)
* Cream vellum, 2 inches square
* Yellow yarn, 1 yard
* Glue stick
* Scissors
* Brown fine-tipped pen
* Puncher
* Quotes about gratitude (you can search for them on the Internet, although this is optional)

Cut a half-inch strip of dark olive green paper as long as the tube. With the closed end of the tube at your left and with the seams at the back, glue the strip of paper along the bottom edge of the tube. Cut two half-inch squares from the dark olive green paper, and then halve each square diagonally to get four right triangles. Set aside.
Cut a 2-inch square piece of cream vellum. With a brown pen, write the words "Give Thanks" on the vellum. Apply glue to the corners of the square and stick it on the right side of the tube, just above the dark olive green strip. Stick a right triangle on each of the corners of the square. Set the case aside.
Cut the yellow cardstock into six pieces each measuring 2-1/2 by 5-1/2. Set five pieces aside. On the other piece, draw the bird with a brown pen, using the template as a guide. Cut out the bird, leaving a small border around it, and stick it on the left so that it overlaps the vellum square and the dark olive green strip.
To make the tags, cut five pieces of light olive green paper, each measuring 1 inch by 2-1/2 inches. Take one piece of yellow cardstock and glue on the light olive green paper, about ¼ of an inch from the edge. Punch a hole at the end. Cut a 7-inch length of yellow yarn and loop it through the hole. Repeat these steps with the other pieces.
You now have a set of blank tags with a case. You can further decorate the tags any way you want using rubber stamps, stickers, photos, etc. You may also want to print out quotes on gratitude, then cut and stick them on the tags. Now take a few minutes to write down on the tags the big and little things you are thankful for. You will soon discover how blessed you are! Happy Thanksgiving!
