I have taught at several international trade shows and in many retail stores, and currently teach a variety of classes at a local scrapbook store. I subscribe to over 20 craft related magazines, scouring them for the new ideas and projects. I love trying out new tools, and am a self-confessed paper junkie. My mother tells me that as a little girl, I wrapped up several bits of discarded wrapping paper to give as a gift to my grandmother, because I thought they were so pretty. I guess I was before my time! I still can’t bear to throw away any pretty papers – much to my husband’s chagrin!
People often ask what my favorite craft is, and my standard answer is” The one I’m learning right now!”. I love to try every new craft that comes along, and I have enough supplies to prove it. Paper crafts hold a special place in my heart, both because you can do them with something as common as the newspaper or a grocery bag, and you can incorporate so many other crafts into them, such as painting, stamping, jewelry, etc., etc. etc. I actually salivate when I enter a craft, scrapbook, or stationary store. I’m so excited the night before a trade show that I can’t sleep!
I live in a small town in Ohio with my husband of 38 years, who was my high school sweetheart. We have 3 wonderful, grown children, 2 boys and a girl, and an 8-year-old grandson. Since the kids moved out, we share our home with a yellow lab. We recently added another yellow lab, who now rules the roost. And, yes to the question I am asked most often – the “ Evolution of Dance” guy is our youngest son, Judson.
