The Three Fridas

A recent purchase of a rubber stamp, proved to be quite a muse, in this very cool set of cards I made.
The stamp is called, "Frida of Guadalupe" and it's made by Invoke Arts.

It's easy enough to make this yourself. You can totally do this!

All you'll need is:

Blue textured paper
Blue ink stamping pad
Embossing Ink
Gold Glitter Embossing Powder
Brown Paper
Kraft Colored Card stock
"Frida of Guadalupe" Rubber Stamp
Background stamp (I used a retired one by Stampin Up, but cannot remember the name, sorry)
Heat/Embossing Gun
Glue stick
Brown Ink Stamping Pad.
Pop Up Dots

SSo the first step, would be to stamp it out.
You're making a set of three, so stamp it brown (for the body) three times, in blue three times (for the wings) and in embossing ink and powder, three times (for the outer edge).
Once you've stamped your images, go ahead and and emboss the last few images (the ones with the gold embossing powder).
Then cut them out, carefully. Remember to leave the wings connected.

So here, you can see how to glue it all together. First, glue the wings to the body.
Then, using pop up dots, glue the winged body, onto the gold embossed border.
Using another three pieces of brown paper, your background stamp, and your blue ink pad, ink and stamp your background stamp onto brown paper.
Once that's done, glue that paper onto the brown Kraft paper. The craft paper is going to be your card, so cut it to your preferred card size.
Then, I have a quote stamp, also by stampin' up, and I am sorry. I again forgot the stamp set. But really, just use whatever quote you have. I'm a big advocate of using what you have, so who cares that you don't know the name of the stamp set, right?
Here's what it looks like, all put together:

Pretty cool, right?
I hope you like this little tutorial!
