Free Celtic Cross Reading A Review

Free online oracle readings will never provide the same level of guidance as an actual card reading. Many online oracles are very vague and seem to leave the querrent with more questions than answers. Most times they are developed with the motive to sell the deck they are based off of, or to provide an incentive to try a professional reading. Neither of these is a bad thing of course, but it sometimes doesn't lead to the most thorough or detailed readings.

That being said, there are times when online oracles can be quite useful. Perhaps you're just seeking some overall guidance, or you want a different perspective than your own. If you're pressed for time, sometimes an oracle reading can give some insight at the beginning of a hectic day. Other times, it's nice to just see how others interpret the cards as a way to enhance your overall knowledge of the Tarot.

Over the years, I have checked out many of these oracle sites and have developed a directory of the ones I have reviewed. One stands out in my mind as being much better than others. The Wolfcoast Tarot reading application does an excellent job. It is useful for guidance, and for learning about things like reversals and position meanings for the traditional Celtic Cross spread. The developer obviously has a passion for the Tarot and Astrology and it truly shows in this outstanding Tarot app.

The free Tarot application by Wolfcoast (linked below the review) has been around for a long time now. It was recently revamped last year to include side by side card comparisons and more in-depth card interpretations with new interactive features. It is very easy to use, simply focus on your question as you type it in and then press enter. Don't want to enter a question? That's fine also - the field contains the default question "What does the future hold"?. Once you press enter, a new page comes up. Your reading will display on the left side of the screen laid out in the Celtic Cross spread. On the right, you'll notice the position definition up top with the card interpretations appearing below.

Click on each card to learn the position and card meaning. If there are reversals, you'll find those explained in depth as well. Each point has an area where you can click to vote up when you feel a definition has hit the target. There are several points to each card definition and this is nice. It helps provide a well-rounded view of the individual cards. It is clear in these definitions the creator was an enthusiast, not merely a programmer.

In addition, in the unlikely event that you draw a card that makes no sense to you at all, there is the ability to click a link within that cards interpretation that says "Expand reading with this card". When you do this a whole new spread is laid out for you that can give deeper insight. I can see how this aspect could quickly become confusing for those without much Tarot experience, however I find it to still be a very useful feature.

Although no online spread can replace the personal touch and intuitive guidance of a professional, there are definitely ones that do provide a great value to users. This is certainly one of them, so I encourage you to take some time to check it out.
