BriA new womenís golf magazine that is for women only and all about women golfers and what women are interested in. It is a slick magazine, excellent photographs with interesting articles about women golfers. You will find the latest new items that any woman would love plus new clubs and accessories. It is called Golf Week and the main offices are in Orlando, Florida. I thought their sections were short and sweet called ForeCaddie, Toy Box, and Features.
Under the ForeCaddie was an article called A Celebration of the Game and they figured it was fitting to kick off this edition with an all time fan favorite Nancy Lopez. Nancy was featured in the World Golf Hall of Fame in January with an exhibit opening. Nancy attended and was choked up as she was noted for her greatest accomplishments in golf. She attended with her three daughters the exhibit included a large painting of her with her parents that a man had painted and sent to her home. It was one of her prized possessions. I loved to watch Nancy when she was playing and wish her the best, she deserved to be honored.
A short little article that I enjoyed was about Brittany and her father Tom Lincicome. Brittany explains it that her father had sold a 1962 Corvette convertible when they moved to Florida and she heard him talk about it ever since. At a party for her fatherís 60th birthday recently she asked the crowd of 50 people to follow her outside the restaurant and presented him with a 1962 Red Corvette convertible. He was stunned and he never went back inside the restaurant and sat inside that car visiting with all the people leaving that night. What a great thing to do she is one great daughter.
The layout of some of the golfing professionals was outstanding in poses you canít believe and their love of shopping. The first one on Morgan Pressel, she is a beautiful girl and it show her in her new house in South Florida. It has pictures of her in her closet showing her wardrobe and collection of dresses. She says she very rarely gets to wear. Another layout of Miyazato of Japan that has Japanese media wherever she goes,
I definitely enjoyed the spread on Paula Creamer as it states she has matured into a champion who is an inspiration to the younger golfers. The pictures of her are beautifully as this photographer was amazing, she is on the cover that you would never recognize her from her time on the golf course. I was in awe of the photographs it makes this magazine as it draws you into the story and Paula Creamer has a great story. She is known for her pink outfits on the golf course and loves to sign autographs for young fans all dressed in pink. Pink may be for golf but black for dresses and one picture of her in a black short dress with spike heel shoes all covered with glittering jewels. Awesome photographs by Tracy Wilcox!
There was a collection of photographs of Spanish golfing girls and the photographer for these again by Tracy Wilcox amazing. The article I enjoyed was a profile of Cindy Davis who is the mind and body of Nike and is called the Marathon Woman. Tracy Wilcox again did the photography but the story was remarkable too showing how dedication and drive will get you to the top and she is enjoying the view.
Every golf magazine has to show some instructions and these show drills you can do to keep your balance and feel the weight shift by throwing a soccer ball. He makes you feel the transfer of your weight through the shot and keeping your balance on the follow through. There were pictures which also show swinging two clubs one in each hand which will also help control balance very important to the golf swing. It also covered the short game and positions you need to alter swing and the flight of the ball. This magazine covered it all even fitness with some exercises to keep fit to build strength and consistency. This is one great womenís golf magazine so check out GW GolfWeek for Her at www.golfweek.com.
