I received an email from a reader here on my golf web site who wrote that I was a great inspiration to him and his wife. Well those remarks can always start your day off right and this made me curious. The email came from a Tom Kendricks from Sebastopol, California and it did peak my interest. He went on to say that he and his wife share my love of golf and started a new venture called couples4golf.com. What made this a small world is when he said his wife has cousins living here in Salado. He sent the name which wasn’t familiar to me but created my interest.

I wrote back to Tom and remarked that this was a first, hearing from someone on my golf web site that had relatives living here. Salado is a small community in the middle of Texas that it is rare for one of my golf web site readers to know someone who lives here. I did ask my friends while playing golf if they knew these people and of course they did as the wife is active in the Chamber of Commerce Auxiliary and does not play golf. They pointed out where they live so will have to stop by and introduce myself one of these days.

Tom also mentioned that they have other relative that live in Texas mostly in the Pan Handle in north Texas. He also said that they have had family reunions in Salado, which he did not attend, that stayed at our Stagecoach Inn. Tom also said he is an outcast as he has never been to Texas what a shame they will have to make the trip to Salado and play our Mill Creek Golf Course. Mill Creek is not as scenic since our flood last year but a fun couple’s golf course.

Tom sent their information of their web page called couples4golf. At first I could not bring it up but Tom wrote back that it is very new and sent the URL that worked and I checked out their web site. Their web site features several golf courses with pictures that they have played as a couple. This web site gives excellent scenery and information about the golf courses so anyone living in and around that area may want to check out this web site and play these interesting golf courses. They list important information you should know about each course such as green fees, staff, pace of play, difficulty, yardage and how they feel about couples playing there. It is a very nice web site will post it below this article.

Tom also is a writer and has published a book called “Bluewater Gold Rush” and true life ocean adventure, he says no golf but lots of action. Tom job before retiring was a 22-year commercial diving instructor. He has written articles about diving for magazines and is a story editor and writing coach. I told Tom that I would write a review of our correspondence and their web site and keep in touch about our love of golf. One thing I love about my web site is experiences such as this, it is a small world and you meet so many interesting people who love golf.
