1955 - The first McDonald’s opened!

1992 - Leona Helmsley a.k.a. The Queen of Mean began serving her prison sentence for tax evasion.

Emma Thompson the Oscar winning actress who starred in “Howard’s End”, “Remains of the Day” and “Sense and Sensibility” was born in 1959.

Emma Watson best known for her role as Hermione Granger in the “Harry Potter” films was born in 1990.

Raymond Bailey who starred on TV’s “The Beverly Hillbillies” passed away in 1980 at the age of 75.

Wallace Beery who won an Oscar for his performance in 1931’s “The Champ” passed away in 1949 at the age of 64.

Clara Blandick best known as Auntie Em in “The Wizard of Oz” died in 1962 at the age of 80.

Rusty Burrell best known for being the bailiff on TV’s “The People’s Court” passed away in 2002 at the age of 76.

John Fred who sang “Judy In Disguise” passed away in 2005 at the age of 63.

Greta Garbo the legendary movie actress of such films as “Ninotchka”, “Anna Karenina” and “Queen Christina” passed away in 1990 at the age of 84.

Abraham Lincoln the 16th President of the United States passed away in 1865 at the age of 56.

Pol Pot the Cambodian dictator died in 1998 at the age of 72.

Joey Ramone the front man for the punk/rock band The Ramones passed away in 2001 at the age of 49.
