About the BellaOnline Today in History Editor

Christa N. Mackey entered into the world on December 25 of a non-disclosed year. An ancient history buff, Christa found herself studying over the pyramids and pharaohs of Egypt; baffling at the madness of Caligula; and charting the relations of the gods of Egyptian, Greek, and Roman beliefs.

Just like the pioneers of the West, Christa journeyed across the Nation in 2005, settling in the Los Angeles area of California. She spent a year teaching sixth grade at a private school, focusing a lot of her time on history.

Why history?

Because it’s boring. How much more fun would history be if you could sit down and transport yourself back in time and “see” what happened? Children of all ages enjoy learning when it becomes fun. Imagine being able to learn about a single event that occurred each day of the year—even February 29! That, my dear readers, is what I intend to bring to you: History: Alive!

Oh, and while you´re here, feel free to sign up for my weekly newsletter so you never miss out on an opportunity to learn!
