Celebrating Spring with Outdoor Candles

With springtime here consider giving new life to simple pillar candles by decorating them with nature's amenities and create a warm feel on your patio or terrace.
Local greenhouses, craft stores and even the outdoors can carry all the items you will need for this project.
Supplies Needed:
pillar candles
pressed flowers
mod podge (non flammable crafter's glue)
an old small paintbrush
This simple project candle bring new life to the same old candle or make a great gift.
Start by making a basic pillar candle and gathering all your supplies. Lay down a few sheets of newspaper so you don't get glue on your countertop. If you don't have any pressed flowers that you've been saving, they are readily available at craft stores in various colors. Apply a thin coat of mod podge (with your small paintbrush)to the back side, of each pressed flower and adhere it to the candle. Apply another thin coat over the pressed flower and set aside to dry for a few moments.
That's it! Now just enjoy.

*Note: be sure to wash out your paintbrush immediately with soapy water.
