The first season of The Surreal Life featured such incredible pairings as Gabrielle Carteris, M.C. Hammer, Vince Neil, Corey Feldman, Emmanuel Lewis, Jeri Manthey and Brande Roderick; while the second season featured Traci Bingham, Ron Jeremy, Tammy Faye Baker, Trishelle Cannatella, Erik Estrada and Vanilla Ice.
In its latest bid to become the ultimate pop culture network, VH1 has acquired the rights to season three and has finally announced who will be sharing a house this time:
Charo - A pure pop culture original. A master of the flamenco guitar, she made the most Love Boat appearances ever -- and nobody understood one word she said, except for "coochie coo!" Charo will be taking time off from her popular Las Vegas show to enter the house.
Dave Coulier - Many know Dave as Uncle Joey from Full House -- but rock fans know him as Alanis Morissette's inspiration for her first smash hit, "You Ought To Know." Which personality will emerge while he's in the house?
Flava Flav - The "OG" hip-hop pioneer of Public Enemy. Known for carrying around that huge clock necklace, the always outrageous Flava plans to bring the noise to this round of the show.
Jordan Knight - Once a "New Kid", he is spending time in the house before his first national solo tour. Does he have the "right stuff" to get along with everybody?
Brigitte Nielsen - Best known for her roles in Red Sonja and Cobra in the 80's, she was also as famous for being Sylvester Stallone's amazon wife. At over six feet tall, Brigitte has no qualms about what she wears. In fact, it was hard to find a photo of her wearing anything at all.
Ryan Starr - Each season has had one reality "star" -- this year they've picked one from the original American Idol. Her press blurb says she's 22 and still the hottest woman to ever sing for Simon. I don't know about hottest, but she did seem to butt heads with Simon more than anyone else I've seen on the show.
The cast was introduced to one another and their new home earlier this week and will play house in a Hollywood mansion with their lives videotaped 24/7. Known for its unique personality pairings and its hilarious situations, The Surreal Life promises to deliver yet another season of talked-about television.
