The Angelic Crystal cards bring together guidance and wisdom from the Crystal Kingdom and the Angelic realms. You can use them to draw a card as a daily focus or to help with healing a specific issue. I was lucky enough to win my set of cards in a prize draw from Hazel Raven. You can watch me using these cards on Youtube.
Hazel is the author of The Angel Bible, which I have found a very useful reference book over the years, plus several other practical books on crystal healing and angels. The feel of these cards is kept peaceful and simple, a range of pastel colours reflect the crystals named on the cards and there is a background image of an angel, the rest is text.
The card stock itself is glossy and they are quite large. They did ‘moult’ slightly at the edges when I first unpacked them, but these little wispy bits soon cleared after shuffling them a few times and they are fine now. The notes for their usage are also printed on cards, so I suggest you read these and then put a rubber band around them and keep them separately from the deck, otherwise you may inadvertently shuffle them in as I did!
Hazel has included some angels that I had never heard of before, but this was refreshing and of interest compared to the usual listing of well known angels in other decks. For example the angel Rehael is associated with Ruby. Invoke this angel when you wish to clear ancestral miasms.
Each card is headed with a crystal, followed by a keyword, then an initiation and a description of the crystal magic. An associated chakra is given, then an affirmation. We move onto the associated angel, a description of that angel and their role and why you would invoke them. The card is completed with a divinatory meaning. If you have a collection of crystals you can go and choose the actual crystal to work with, placing it on the relevant chakra point, or working intuitively with it as feels right to you.
For the purposes of this review I asked to be shown the most appropriate card to share with you. I shuffled the cards and fanned them out in front of me. I drew card number 23, Rutile Quartz, which at time of writing is one of the stones that I have been working with, so it is significant for me on a personal level as well.
The Keyword here is Illumination and the Initiation is Manifestation.
Magic: Rutile quartz is used for manifestation, amplification and to speed up events and processes. This crystal is the Illuminator of the Soul, swiftly infusing the aura with Light and vitality.
Unusually this stone is suitable for all chakras.
The Affirmation is I am the Light that never fails.
The associated angel for rutile quartz is Archangel Melchizedek.
Archangel Melchizedek helps you to develop your ‘Light Body’ or ‘Merkavah Body of Light’ as part of seeking enlightenment. People who seek to raise their vibration through spiritual practices are said to be embarking on the ‘Ascension Process’.
Invoke this Archangel to help you open yourself to higher consciousness.
The card ends with the Divinatory Meaning:
Drawing this card signifies you will discover spirit is your true source of power. Real power comes from your connection to your deepest self.
I think these are very wise words, not just for me, but for anyone reading this article. It is interesting that I picked a crystal suitable for use with any chakra too. This means it has universal application, so off you all go and find yourself a nice piece of rutile quartz to sit with!
I particularly love the affirmation I am the Light that never fails. In my Ancient Egyptian incarnation my twin and I were revered as ‘The Light of Egypt’. Drawing this card is an excellent reminder that the Light is eternal and it didn't end with our physical deaths in that specific incarnation. Sometimes the gap between who I was then and who I am now seems so huge; I need to remember that I am the same soul.
I do believe that we can all embody and radiate Light if we are prepared to do the work needed to clear out our karmic baggage and release old hurts, grievances, regrets and resentments. Drawing this card is also a reminder to ask for Archangel Melchizedek's help and to connect with his powerful transformative vibration as we each work towards our enlightenment.
My thanks to Hazel for bringing through a useful tool for self development and guidance. The Angelic Crystal cards are available to purchase from Hazel Raven's site.
