How can you incorporate Daylight Saving Time into your journals? Join me in this fact filled article that will help you see how time makes a difference. Or why not use this article as a Spring cleaning for your journals.
Daylight Saving Time is also known as Summer time. I don't know about you but this gives me the winter blues. Even though I live in one of the warmer states, I am still getting pretty sick of winter.
The term Daylight Saving Time was first used in 1784 by Benjamin Franklin. The practice of Daylight Saving Time was not put into practice in the United States until 1918. We celebrate Daylight Saving Time this year on Sunday, March 11, 2007 for this year.
Here are some prompts to help you get more out of your journaling time in celebration of Daylight Saving Time. I've also included a few to help spring clean your journal for those summer months.
1. On March 11, 2007, do you turn your clocks back or forward to celebrate Daylight Saving Time? Do you adjust your clocks on the exact date or do you do it before you go to bed?
2. Journal check. Flip back through and read a few of your previous posts and let them inspire you today. Use some thoughts from one or more of the entries and let your mind go.
3. Take this time to walk through your house and count the number of time keeping devices within your house and personal automobile. How many do you have? Now remember to adjust all them on March 11, 2007.
4. Do you need to clean out your journal? Some tell tale signs that your journal is a cluttered mess is: You have all sorts of different sized pieces of paper hanging out inside your journal. Why not remove these and before tossing them use the notes on them as prompts. If you are anything like me, I got several good pages of writing out of just notes. The plus is that my journal is a lot lighter.
4. Why do we celebrate Daylight Saving Time? What is the reason behind it? Does it add more time to your day or take away? Or don't you notice a difference?
Well, I hope you had as much fun as me learning about this time changing event. It also helped me get a little more organized for summer when I hope to head to the beach with my journal.
