Cash in the Attic is another BBC America show for the antiquing crowd who want to make great finds in their own home. Experts comb through a house, basement, attic, garage of a family to find items to sell at auction to raise money for some item or project the family wants to achieve. Think of it as "One Man's Trash is Another Man's Treasure".
Families have sold off "junk" to finance a memorial chair for one contestant's deceased father. Two old and quite deteriorated globes found in the crawlspace beneath a school brought an amazing £10,000 at auction and a pleasant surprise for the school. Another's storage area earned enough to open savings accounts for 11 grandchildren.
Host Alistair Appleton, along with experts, Jonty Hearnden and Paul Hayes, guide the family on its hunt and follow up through the auction. The show will leave you looking around your house too!
