Make your own roasted garlic cloves to use as needed. This is an excellent gift when put in a glass small jar. Add a rosemary stem for color.
Preheat oven to 400 degrees
1. Coat unpeeled cloves with olive oil
2. Roast in oven for 10 to 15 minutes or until the olive cloves turn a light golden brown.
The cloves are done when they become soft. Allow the cloves to cool then remove the peels and put into small glass jar and cover with a good olive oil. Place in refrigerator immediately.* Use garlic cloves as needed. Keep refrigerated at all times.
*Any garlic in oil must refrigerated to avoid the growth of botulism bacteria which is potentially-deadly.
