What is sulfur

Sulfur is am acid-forming mineral. It is part of the chemical structure of the protein building blocks (amino acids) methionine, cysteine, taurine and glutathione

Where is sulfur found in the body?

Sulfur is found in the blood in hemoglobin and in all body tissues. It helps synthesize collagen, a principal protein that gives your skin its structure and integrity and is the glue that holds bones, muscles, tendons in place.

What does sulfur do?

Sulfur...

* may help bladder disorders, especially urinary incontinence (dribbling of urine)

* disinfects the blood

* helps the body resist bacteria and infection

* protects cells

* aids with digestion by stimulating bile secretion

* protects against toxic substances

* protects against the harmful effects of radiation and pollution

* slows down the aging process


Where can you find sulfur?

You can find sulfur in

*cabbage

*brussels sprouts

*peas

*cauliflower

*eggs

*onions

*asparagus

*garlic

*turnips

*wheat germ

*kale

*dried beans
