This episode features a return to the dark side and brings a conclusion to the story line of the blogger who has threatened to expose Melinda's secret.

Melinda goes to work to find the word "WITCHCRAFT" scrawled in red paint across her storefront. She previously had a run-in with a college blogger (andshamethedevil.net) named Justin who had stolen Professor Rick Payne's notes on her. Melinda and Rick go straight to Justin who, it turns out, has beenramping up the hints to Melinda's identity on his web site. Justin claims that he isn't doing anything other than reporting what he is seeing. Melinda's storefront keeps getting painted with more hateful words and images, so Delia gets the idea to set up a video camera in the store. When they review the footage, they discover that Justin is the one who has been defacing the store.

When Melinda confronts Justin, she finds out that he is on medication that is causing him to sleepwalk and do crazy things like turning his dorm room upside-down and paintinggraffiti on her store. Then Justin reveals that he has an inoperable brain tumor that will cause him to die at any moment. His parents are dead and he hasn't told his brother and sister because he doesn't want them to worry. He is surprisingly calm about it because his girlfriend is already dead. She died in an boating accident and Justin wants to apologize for not being able to save her.

When Justin dies, his girlfriend grabs him and drags him to the dark side. She tries to convince him that he belongs down there because he let her die. When one of the customers in Melinda's store appears to be possessed, Melinda figures out that that Justin has been dragged to the dark side. She opens the portal in her basement and goes down to the dark side to find him. When she finds Justin, she lets him know that his girlfriend blew the boat up on purpose so she could get the insurance money for her debts. Justin forgives his girlfriend, which saps her of all her evil power and she disappears. Then Melinda leads Justin into the light and he promises to come back and tell Melinda what is on the other side.

In addition to wrapping up a previous story line, this episode gave us a couple clues to future plot twists. Justin's girlfriend told him that the people who chose to go to the dark side have the power to live and feel again. I think she may have been referring to possessing the bodies of other living people, as she did with the customer in Melinda's store. Also, Justin's promise to come back and talk to her is enticing. Up until now, in the Ghost Whisperer mythology, the dead don't ever visit the living once they cross into the light. However, if the souls on the dark side step up their attack on the living, the souls that have gone into the light may have to come back to protect them.

Things are heating up on Ghost Whisperer and the next four episodes should be exciting. Don't forget to tune in!
