This small pond has two delightful frog feature water spouts amongst the rich luxuriant growth of hardy perennials whose leaves are reflected in the dark water.
. A newer very small pond with poached egg plant at side edge, aubrietia in the foreground and pink mallow in the background with lupins just bursting into bloom; this needs another growing season for the plants to drape attractively down the stones around the sides of the pond.

There are many historic houses in England that have anything from their own lakes, waterfalls and moats – click here for information on Oxburgh Hall which has an ancient moat and Kiftsgate Gardens which has a modern formal water garden – from here you can take a tour of the garden, just click on the picture to the side of the page and select which bit of the garden you would like to look at.
Enjoy your garden!
