The Hidden Woman

I'm in love, I'm in love with Jesus Christ.
I'm in love, I'm in love with all my might.
He's my joy, He's my peace, He's my guiding light;
I'm in love with Jesus Christ
He saved me, He raised me, He set me,
and through His grace I have victory.
He has done so much for me,
I'm in love with Jesus Christ
So in love
I'm in love with Jesus Christ.
Written by Timothy Wright

“A woman's heart should be so hidden in Christ that a man has to seek Him first to find her” (Maya Angelou). Whether married or single, our first love should be Christ. In Him, our heart is safe, nurtured, valued, and loved more than we could ever imagine. He never disappoints or breaks promises and He always listens and understands what we need because we know not what it is we really need.

In loving Him, we learn how we should love ourselves correctly and out of the overflow of this love we are able to love others as ourselves. We are free to be our true selves because He has seen our troubles and care about the anguish of our souls and loves us still (Psalm 31:7). The motive for His protection is pure, reliable, and unmovable.

Our relationship with Him ignites a passion to “think about the things of heaven, not the things of earth for [we] died to this life, and [our] real life is hidden with [Him] in God” (Colossians 3:2-3). He is a Valentine that has left a stain of red on our souls forever. He is a refreshing reminder of how much God thought about us before we were born (Jeremiah 1:5), loves us to enough count the number of hairs on our heads (Matthew 10:30), and chose us to be His children (John 15:19).

Tucked away safely behind the Master, we are purposed, set apart, bold and fearless. He skillfully molds our testimony into a gentle and quiet Spirit that screams hope from the lifestyle we live. Clothed in the garments of righteousness we are sanctified and prepared for every good work. Yet, out of a heart of gratefulness, praise and joy we are humbled because of His majesty.

For “our hearts seek no one else for the happiness we find in Jesus. And if it be His will to bless us with an earthly man who represents to us Christ Himself in many ways for the woman whose heart is truly hidden in Christ is favored to receive a man seeking after God’s heart in all his ways - including finding her” (Kaysie from Alabasterboxblog.com).
