In our world today we are surrounded by exhausted resources, financial despair, and a world of uncertainty. We are left either hopeless or hopeful. We should remember that God has instilled in each of us an inside power. A power that fuels us to go on when we want to give up.

Inside power encourages us when it feels like all hope is gone and renews us when we're left weary and worn. We have come in touch with our inner power when we are convicted by our beliefs and our passions. At that time we are armed and protected by His grace, mercy and blessings.

Essay contest at Delon Music
Gospel artist Delon is sponsoring an essay contest about "What inside power lies in you?" BET's Sunday Best Returns in 2009
Hosted by Kirk Franklin with celebrity judges BeBe Winans and gospel duo Mary Mary, SUNDAY BEST had a successful first season attracting millions of viewers to tune-in every week. At the end of the competition, the viewing audience voted Crystal Aiken of Tacoma , Washington , the winner of SUNDAY BEST who was awarded with a national recording contract with Zomba Gospel. Now it will return to the airwaves for the fall 2009 season at BET and here is your chance to prove that you have what it takes to be the best on Sunday! Open auditions for the show will held as follows:

Los Angeles January 6-7
Atlanta January 10-11
Washington, DC January 17-18
Chicago January 24-25

THE FIRST ANNUAL CHILDREN’S FALLFEST ON SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 1!
The St. Philip Child Development Center’s Parent Teacher Organization will present its first annual Children’s Fall Fest on Saturday, November 1 from 11:00AM until 6:00PM on the Church campus. The St. Philip Child Development Center is located at 240 Candler Road; Atlanta, Georgia 30317. Admission is $7.00 per person without a canned good or $5.00 per person with a canned good. All canned goods will support an area community food bank. The Festival will be a kid’s paradise featuring rides, games, activities, fun foods and special guests! The Children’s Fall Fest will keep everyone entertained and amused for hours. Families are encouraged to bring friends. Kids are invited to wear costumes. And, neighbors are asked to join in and participate in this festive alternative to Halloween.
