Have you ever asked yourself why fragrance should be part of your everyday life? What really attracts you to smell? With so many fragrances to choose from, online and in stores, the choice becomes more difficult for some of you to make.
Do you like perfume, eau de perfume, eau de toilette or eau de cologne? What's the difference? Oil (essential oils) set the stage for determining the difference.
In Perfume, oils often referred to as juice in a scent, determines the difference. Perfume has the highest concentration of oils.
In Eau de perfume, eau de toilette, and eau de cologne they are often interchangeable and have less oil or juice that perfumes. Aftershave has the least amount of oil or juice in its blend.
While men are increasing their purchasing power for fragrance, women are the largest group of consumers that purchase fragrance.
The Sweet Smell of Fragrance
Earlier I asked the question: Why should fragrance be on your vanity? A lot of you said "because it smells so good." Fragrance makes everything smell good. Your soaps, detergents, room sprays, candles and of course your perfumes make things smell so sweat.
Fragrances are mood changers, stimulators and enhancers for those of you experiencing them. Not everyone likes flowers, believe it or not. But flowers set the foundation for most fragrances sold in today's market.
The expression of those flowers can be changed when blended with herbs, resins or even each other. Essential oils set the base for perfumes especially natural perfumes.
Natural perfumes last longer. When worn on your skin, your skin will exude a warmth and pleasant aroma. Your body chemistry allows you to have an individual expression of fragrance. What works on your friends skin will not necessarily work for you on your skin.
You're all individuals that have a uniqueness in your body aroma. Without any fragrance, you have a natural aroma that will often appeal to others over fragranced scents.
When you have and use the perfumes on your vanity, make sure they are blends that are a reflection of you. This means that you have to take your time and find out what essential oil blends work for you and your personal scent.
That's it for this week, Remember ...
Life Never Smelled So Sweet!
