Martin's Play Dough

This is very easy to make and turns out just like the real thing. It even smells like it! This lasts a long time when stored in an airtight container.

  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup salt
  • 4 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 2 T. vegetable oil
  • food coloring

Preparation -
Mix all ingredients together. Microwave for 3 to 5 minutes on high, stirring onceeach minute, until it is thick and you can no longer stir it. Knead until it reaches the consistency or play dough. Store in an airtight container. It stays soft and lasts for months if stored properly.
