Merry Christmas, happy holidays and blessed day! Whether you are at home, on holiday, in hospital or in a hospice – may this festive season bring a smile to your face, joy to your heart, peace to your spirit and a life of abundance. Our gift to one-another: sharing our hopes, fears, and – best of all, our survival!
My gift to you - words of inspiration:
BE A FRIEND – Edgar A. Guest
Be a friend. You don’t need money
Just a disposition sunny;
Just the wish to help another
Get along some way or other;
Just a kindly hand extended
Out to one who’s unbefriended;
Just the will to give or lend
This will make you someone’s friend.
Be a friend. You don’t need glory.
Friendship is a simple story.
Pass the trifling errors blindly,
Gaze on honest effort kindly,
Cheer the youth who’s bravely trying,
Pity him who’s sadly sighing;
Just a little labor spend
On the duties of a friend
Be a friend. The pay is bigger
(Though not written by a figure)
Than is earned by people clever
In what’s merely self-endeavor.
You’ll have friends instead of neighbors
For the profits of your labours;
You’ll be richer in the end
Than a prince; when you’re a friend
WORDS OF WISDOM
"Your journey has moulded you for your greater good, and it was exactly what it needed to be. Don’t think that you’ve lost time. There is no short-cutting to life. It took each and every situation you have encountered to bring you to the now. And now is right on time.”
- Asha Tyson –
“In everyone’s life, at some time, our inner fire goes out. It is then burst into flame by an encounter with another human being. We should all be thankful for those people who rekindle the inner spirit.”
- Albert Schweitzer –
“The capacity for hope is the most significant fact of life. It provides human beings with a sense of destination and the energy to get started.”
- Unknown –
“Optimism is the faith that leads to achievement. Nothing can be done without hope and confidence.”
- Helen Keller –
I’LL PAINT YOU A RAINBOW – Grace E. Easley
I’ll paint you a rainbow to hang on the wall,
to brighten your heart when the gray shadows fall.
On a canvas of joy outlasting the years,
with a soft brush of sweetness to dry all your tears.
I’ll paint you a rainbow with colors of smiles
That glow with sincerity over the miles.
On a palette of words I will tenderly blend
Tones into treasures of sunlight and wind.
I’ll paint you a rainbow that reaches so wide,
Your sights and your sorrows will vanish inside,
And deep in the center of each different hue,
A memory fashioned especially for you.
So lift up your eyes, for suspended above,
A rainbow designed by the fingers of love…
A CHRISTMAS POEM
Christmas is forever, not for just one day,
for loving, sharing, giving, are not to put away
like bells and lights and tinsel, in some box upon a shelf.
The good you do for others is good you do yourself.
- Norman W. Brooks –
HAVE A BLESSED CHRISTMAS!!
