Bruce Lee Celebration

Hong Kong, China celebrates Bruce Lee’s 65th birthday November 25, 2005 thru December 1, 2005. Bruce Lee, the martial arts’ star, met an early death in 1973. The world is still reeling from his early demise, an accident.

The Hong Kong Bruce Lee Club is presenting a statue of Bruce Lee as part of the celebration. The bronze statue is 2.5 meters high. The Cao Chongen’s sculpture weighs 600 kilograms. “Star of the Century: Bruce Lee” is on the base of the statue. The Bruce Lee Club’s statue is on the famous Avenue of Stars. The Avenue the Stars is the hot tourist destination on the Kowloon waterfront.

There are free Bruce Lee films and documentaries for viewing. The informative Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) has a complete list of times and places. HKTB offices are in many major MTR stations.

Hong Kong, China’ HKTB has public tours available. Tours are available to see Bruce Lee’s schools, homes and studios. Take time and join a tour to see these places of interest.
