Tapestry Books Review

Adoption books are great tools for learning more about the adoption process, and learning what to expect after you complete your adoption. There are hundreds of adoption books on the market; however, you may only find a small portion of them at your bookstore. Or worse, the adoption books may be under an entirely different section than the rest of the parenting books. It can be a time consuming and frustrating process to find a good amount of adoption books at your local bookstores.

Thankfully, there is one business created specifically for the adoption world: Tapestry Books.

Tapestry Books sells books targeted towards potential adoptive parents, those who have adopted, and children who are adopted. Unlike many larger bookstores, you’ll find a wider selection of books on both international and domestic adoption. They even have a section on adoption baby books and lifebooks. It’s refreshing to visit a bookstore where you can purchase a book filled with knowledge about adoption, and pick up a great gift too (for you or a friend who’s adopting).

Tapestry Books also provides an entire section on their website devoted to books written by case workers, social workers, doctors, lawyers, and other adoption related professionals.

When you first visit the Tapestry Books website, I think you’ll be amazed at the sheer amount of adoption books—right there on the front page. You don’t have to go on endless searches, hoping that the company may have one of the adoption books you’re looking for. Simply pick a category at the left hand side of the page, including: You’ll find many selections of education materials for each of the categories listed. And, if you’re overwhelmed with the amount of books to choose from, you can simply call their toll free number for advice.

Disclosure: I was made aware of Tapestry Books through a posting on the Bella Online Adoption forum. I have not personally used them to purchase an adoption book, but would not hesitate to do so after seeing their phenomenal selection of adoption literature.
