Adoption is something I am endlessly drawn to. The struggle of a child in need or the compassion and love shown by an adoptive family is something that I´ve opened my own heart to.
There are countless adoption options and while I have spent my time reading and studying many of the options the one closest to my heart is special needs adoption from abroad. While at this point in my life I am in no position to be bringing a child home it is what I aspire to. At this time, since I am unable to adopt, I work to promote adoption as a wonderful option for families and as an excellent cause for donors.
Adoption can be a slippery subject, as soon as you´ve mastered the laws and regulations of a nation the policies can change or the government can be overthrown. For this reason I find myself constantly delved into an endlessly aray of what others may view as boring and unimportant laws. Personally while reading them, I am thinking of all the lives they can change.
