BellaOnline's Orchids Editor


The flower of an orchid is composed of three parts, the petals (3), the sepals (3) and the column. The petals are the real flower of the orchid. The lip is a specialized petal which is believed to provide a landing place or attractor for pollinators such as bees and wasps.
