Golf shoe selections are numerous and prices can be overwhelming so choose your golf shoes with care. If comfort is the most important be sure to go to your Pro Shop or Athletic Store and try on the different kinds before making a purchase. With the different types of soft cleats, types of leather and design of the shoe the price range can be amazing.
The past summer the golf shoe sandal came out and I have played with many gals who had them. They all said at first they were comfortable, but then I noticed they were wearing socks with them. They told me that when they got sand in them it was a problem and felt the socks helped with that. I have never tried these as I was more comfortable in the ordinary golf shoe.
In the latest magazine “Golf for Women” I saw a section called “Tips, Trends and the Latest Look”. They had photographs of the “IT” shoe. This shoe is made by Adidas called the ClimaCool Oasis and is featured as a perfect fit for warm-weather shoes. They are lightweight, cushioned and fully ventilated. The pictures show three cut outs along both sides of the shoe also two cut out around the heel with a mesh insert in the toe.
The advertising says it will keep your feet looking and feeling cool and can be worn without socks. These shoes are spikeless and will deliver good traction on the course and could be worn off the course. The price was listed at $80.00. The article shows pictures of these shoes in white with red trim around the cutouts, with an unusual crisscross way of lacing. I plan to have our Pro Shop order these for me and I will be ready for the summer season. I have purchased shoes from our Pro shop so they know my size and I am sure they will be just the thing for this summer. Check out the latest Golf for Women Magazine and on page 36 you find the picture of these shoes.
