Tactical Daddy Product Review

If you know of a dad who has small children, and hates to carry that oversized diaper bag when he is out with the kids, I have found a product for you.

Tactical Daddy caught my eye when I read an article about it in a magazine at the doctor’s office. I remembered the name, and contacted the creator, Marcus Melnick to see if he would be interested in sending me a sample so I could write a review. Which he did and now here is the review.

Tactical Daddy should be called “dad’s diaper bag.” At first glance the vest looks like any construction workers’ vest. A closer look will reveal the vast array of pockets, 16 in all. All of the pockets are shaped and sized to hold different items. There are 2 pockets at the bottom that can easily hold two bottles or juice boxes. There are smaller pockets to hold things such as keys or a wallet. Still more pockets are constructed large enough to hold toys, snacks, and wipes. There are a couple of rather large inside pockets to hold diapers and even a changing pad. Although I did not wash the one I have, the website swears that the vest will not shrink.

The vest is well constructed. It is made of heavy cotton canvas with triple stitching. It was actually heavy for me to hold with nothing in the pockets, so it is definitely made for men. Since it is so well constructed, it will last a long time. When the vest is not needed as a diaper bag, it can have many other uses. When working around the house it can hold tools, nails, screws, etc. The vest can be used by fishermen to carry their supplies instead of a tackle box. The website also suggests that it can be used for paint ball enthusiasts.

The vest is available in sizes from small to 3XL. There are three colors to choose from, khaki, black, or green (green is special order).

Other Tactical Daddy products are available on their website include Tactical Daddy pants, shirts, kids wear, and there is even a Tactical Daddy action figure.

The thing I like best about this product is that since Dad wears it, instead of carrying it, both hands will be free to take care of the kids. It’s about time someone made a worthwhile product for dads.
