The 9th month of the Baha’i Calendar called Asma/Names starts August 20th at sundown. The Baha’i (Badi) Calendar months are named after attributes or qualities of God. Though out all the writings of the Manifestations of God (Prophets) these qualities and/or terms are used throughout.

Let us take a look at how the previous manifestations of God have used the word Names :

From the Hebrew Writings, we have these words:
And the man gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found a help meet for him
Torah (Law), B'reishis (Genesis)

Hallelujah; {N}for it is good to sing praises unto our God; for it is pleasant, and praise is comely.
147,2 The LORD doth build up Jerusalem, He gathereth together the dispersed of Israel;
147,3 Who healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.
147,4 He counteth the number of the stars; He giveth them all their names .
147,5 Great is our Lord, and mighty in power; His understanding is infinite.
Kesuvim (Writings), Tehillim (Psalms)

From the The New Testament we hear:
Now the names of the twelve apostles are these; The first, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother; James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother; 10:3 Philip, and Bartholomew; Thomas, and Matthew the publican; James the son of Alphaeus, and Lebbaeus, whose surname was Thaddaeus; 10:4 Simon the Canaanite, and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed him

From Muhammed we hear:
And He taught Adam all the names , then showed them to the angels, saying: Inform Me of the names of these, if ye are truthful.
The Qur'an, Sura 2 - The Cow
Allah's are the fairest names. Invoke Him by them. And leave the company of those who blaspheme His names . They will be requited what they do.

Baha’u’llah, the latest manifestation of God tells us:
No veil whatever have I allowed, O Lord of all names and Creator of the heavens, to shut me from the recognition of the glories of Thy Day -- the Day which is the lamp of guidance unto the whole world, and the sign of the Ancient of Days unto all them that dwell therein.

Every discerning observer will recognize that in the Dispensation of the Qur'án both the Book and the Cause of Jesus were confirmed. As to the matter of names , Muhammad, Himself, declared: "I am Jesus." He recognized the truth of the signs, prophecies, and words of Jesus, and testified that they were all of God. In this sense, neither the person of Jesus nor His writings hath differed from that of Muhammad and of His holy Book, inasmuch as both have 22 championed the Cause of God, uttered His praise, and revealed His commandments.
