Have you ever been stuck at a crossroads and needed some insight into two choices? Perhaps you felt a bit between a rock and a hard place as the saying goes. There are times in life where we have to make a choice in direction and often that leads to second guessing our decisions and anxiety about where we are being led.
For situations like this, I developed a Tarot spread called the “Which Path” spread. This spread helps illustrate both sides of a choice in detail and is great for taking a well-rounded look at the decision making process. For example, lets say you are facing a decision about your career and you want to know whether you should stay with your current employer and hope for a promotion vs looking for a growth opportunity with another company. This spread will help you look at the pros and cons of each choice, as well as anything you may not be seeing clearly.
The spread positions and their meanings are listed below:

Position 1: Focus: Where you are now and what surrounds your current situation. This is a great card to get a feel for the overall energy of the situation. It may be obvious to you the choices you are facing, however this card can still lend insight into subconscious beliefs, fears, etc. I always start off with a focus card in pretty much any spread for that reason.
Position 2: Choice One: Highlights the first choice facing the querrent
Position 3: Choice Two: Highlights the second choice facing the querrent
Position 4: Potential 1: Highlights the potential of the first choice, the best you can hope for. This card is designed to look down the line a bit at the potential for the choice to lead to long-term fulfillment. It can do a great job of discerning if your choice will be actually benefit you 6 months or a year down the line or if it is something fleeting or temporary. The same applies to position 5 – only for the second choice.
Position 5: Potential 2: Highlights the potential of the 2nd choice, the best you can hope for. Like the position above, it looks at more long-range potential.
Position 6: Hidden Aspects: Highlights any unseen obstacles or situations that the querrent may be presently unaware of. This card is one that often needs to meditated on and not approached from a place of fear or worry. Don't let whatever shows up here cause you to panic, but look at it with honesty. Sometimes it points to obstacles that suggest a choice is not the right one - other times it may point to how you may be interfering in your own decision process.
Position 7: Summation: Highlights and ties together all of the other cards to help the querrent make the most empowered decision. This card wraps things up by tying together all of the elements. The card that appears here can let you know if you are ready to make a choice or if you need a bit more time to reflect.
