Enrichment Centers

Enrichment centers are popping up all over the United States as wonderful outlets for children and families. Many of these centers are geared not only for the after school crowd, but also for the homeschool crowd. Check out your local towns to see if there is an Enrichment Center or program.

Spark Family Enrichment Center is an amazing facility that has set the standard for total family education. Located in Winter Springs, Florida, this center offers a range of homeschool classes as well as field trips for homeschoolers. Besides being extremely flexible and open to just about any idea for a class, Spark offers a great variety of classes taught by experts and educational enthusiasts. Art, Chess Club, Architectural Explorations, Sign Introduction to Language for the Elementary Student, Sewing, Spanish, Choir, Dramatic Arts, Mandarin Chinese, and Music lessons are all offered for reasonable prices. Field trip ideas range from "Plant Life" to "Eco Art", with opportunities to set up one or several trips to suit your homeschool group's schedule.

Using Spark as a model for Enrichment Centers can help you to start a program like this in your community if none exists already. Consider speaking to your local YMCA, Chamber of Commerce or library for ideas on a meeting place and fee structure. Check with your local homeschool groups, as well as church groups to determine if there may already be a basic program in place.

Enrichment Centers can be key to developing your child's potential and intelligence, especially in a flexible homeschool setting. Think about all of the classes you wish you could have taken while in school, like Architecture or Mandarin Chinese. With a program or center like Spark, you can offer specialized coursework and enriching curriculum any time.

Before jumping into a program of extra classes do take time to discuss options with your homeschooler. Find out what he or she is interested in, and what subjects they'd like to learn about in greater depth. Even if your child is unsure of his or her interests that is just fine, too. Enrichment is a topic that offers a multitude of challenging and exciting endeavors to experience, and then form a conclusion about. Visit Spark today and check out your local area for Enrichment Centers and programs.
