1. Create a museum! Challenge your child to replicate some of the ancient art with Legos, models, or clay. Take photos of his or her mini museum and share them with the family.
2. Read an ancient themed book and watch the movie. Compare and contrast the two. Ideas include Ben Hur or Alexander the Great.
3. Explore art with your homeschooler. Have your child try a watercolor painting depicting an ancient Babylonian scene. Or, if your child enjoys drawing, have him or her sketch an Egyptian pyramid. Using our artistic abilities helps solidify knowledge we learn.
