Perfect Lady Cocktail Recipe for Motherís Day

My momís a real peach and I bet you think yours is, too. I think weíre both right. To show Mom what a peach she is, Iíll be serving the Perfect Lady cocktail, a delicious, frothy blend of gin and peach brandy. Your mom might like one, too.

Hereís the recipe to make one Perfect Lady cocktail, for Mom and all the perfect ladies in your world:

Perfect Lady Cocktail Recipe for Motherís Day

Makes one peachy cocktail

Chill a pretty cocktail glass because anything you drink tastes better from a pretty glass. For this recipe, a martini glass works fine but so does a champagne glass. Either kind of champagne glass - fluted or saucer - works perfectly.

Separate an egg, reserving the yolk for another use (eggs for Motherís Day brunch, perhaps?). Youíll want to use the egg white to create the festive froth for this drink. Keep it well chilled at all times.

Slice up a fresh peach; use one slice to garnish each glass.

Into a blender with a handful of crushed ice, pour:

1.5 Tablespoons egg white
1.5 Tablespoons gin
2 teaspoons peach brandy
2 teaspoons lemon juice

Pulse the blender to crush the ice and blend the liquid ingredients. When smooth and frothy, pour into chilled glasses. Garnish the pretty glass with a slice of fresh peach.

Got a room full of perfect ladies and you donít want to keep them waiting? Make Perfect Ladies by the blender-ful using these quantities:

1 cup gin
3/4 cup peach brandy
1/2 cup lemon juice
1 cup egg white

Pour all drink ingredients into a blender filled with ice and follow the instructions above.

Sweeten up the party by serving your Perfect Lady cocktails in glasses with sugar-frosted rims.

Reserve the peach juice that will drip as you slice the peaches. Pour it into a flat saucer slightly larger than the rim of your cocktail glass.

In a separate saucer, pour a shallow layer of sugar. Use either granulated or powdered sugar. If using powdered sugar, sift it into the saucer to minimize lumps.

Before filling the glass with the cocktail, dip the rim into the peach juice and then into the sugar. Fill the glass to just below the sugar line, garnish, and enjoy!

No peach juice? No problem. Rub a peach slice along the rim of each glass before dipping it into the sugar.
