momAgenda - Product Review

The momAgenda is a calendar-organizer made just for moms. I used the momAgenda for years before going electronic but still love its carefully planned design. Every organized mom needs a good calendar in her cache of tools. A calendar is essential for remembering, scheduling, and planning.

All the momAgendas have monthly planning calendars that are perfect for recording birthdays and anniversaries. Then, Mom can select whether she prefers a daily or weekly view. I prefer the week-at-a-time because I like being able to see what lies ahead without flipping the page. In the back, you will also find pages for expense records, note taking, vacation planning and more.

If you have more than one child; if you have multiple tasks to keep track of; and if you prefer a written planner – I recommend looking at the momAgenda. Like many planners today, the momAgenda has space at the bottom for meal planning – an added bonus for any busy but organized mom. There is not a lot of room, but it is helpful if you want to organize your weekly plan to indicate “pasta night”, “chicken” or “take out”.

Perhaps unique to momAgenda are the four sections below the daily schedule. The sections allow you to separate out the activities of your children. I found it useful to list the individual activities of each of my children (“soccer practice”, “play date”, or “well check”), but I found I needed to include the activity in the general section as well to keep from overlooking a scheduled activity.

The momAgenda also has a removable address book with plenty of space for the various phone numbers and email addresses people tend to have these days. At the end of the year when you transfer over to your new momAgenda , you can slide the address book from your old planner into the new planner without rewriting all your contact information. It doesn’t look like you can purchase a new agenda without a new calendar book so it almost defeats the purpose – you’re paying for a new address book despite the fact that you don’t have use it. I always write addresses, phone numbers and email addresses in pencil so they are easy to update and like the thought of sliding my old address book into my new planner.

Mom Agenda comes in a variety of colors, designs and sizes. I prefer my chocolate brown over the funky zebra stripes or hot pink choices, but there is definitely something for everyone. There are also designs not specifically for moms, journals, and other planning products.

If you are one of those moms who searches each year for the perfect calendar/organizer, then this is definitely one you’ll want to check out.

I decided to review the momAgenda on my own. I purchased one for myself years ago and have used it for several years.
