Diagonal Ridge Lace Dishcloth

This dishcloth pattern has a diagonal ridge design combined with open work lace valleys. The design has a fresh asymmetrical appearance that is feminine without looking to pretty to be useful. The open and textured design adds a little scrubby power to the cloth. The all cotton yarn continues to keep the cloth gentle enough not to scratch surfaces - whether it is your countertop, or you choose to use this cloth as a washcloth for you face and body. For extra scrubby power, look for a hemp or hemp/cotton blend worsted weight yarn to complete this project.

Worsted weight cotton yarn is available at most large craft retailers and also at many smaller local yarn stores. Several colors and prints are available to help you coordinate to décor or personal taste.
