You can choose from the most comfortable to the most luxurious. Pair it with a pillowcase that is inviting and soft to touch. Another highly-appreciated gift items are bath oils. And lucky you, they’re easy to make as well. First you need to choose essential oils. Drop by your favorite perfume shop or health food store and try popular scents such as lemon, jasmine, lavender, chamomile, rosemary, peppermint and rose. Depending on the season, you may like other new additions so test them as well. After choosing the essential oils, you then choose a carrier oil. A carrier oil is the base oil which “carries” the scent to your skin. Choose those with light scents taking into consideration that you will use it in the bath. Popular choices are virgin coconut oil, sweet almond oil, apricot kernel and jojoba.

To make the bath oils attractive, add colorants. Fresh scents can come in green, rose scents in red and citrus scents in orange or yellow. Mix the colorants with distilled water. Then mix the essential oil and carrier oil. Use equal parts for each type. Then pour the bath oils in nice bottles, tie a ribbon around it and that’s it, you have successfully learned how to make scented gift items for home.
