Coconut Squares

Coconut Squares

  • 3/4 cup margarine
  • 2-1/2 cup graham cracker crumbs
  • 1 1/2 cup chopped nuts
  • 12 oz. semi sweet chocolate chips
  • 1-1/2 cups coconut
  • 1 can (14 oz.) sweetened condensed milk

Preparation -
Melt the margarine. Stir in the cracker crumbs. Spread the mixture in a very lightly greased 9" x 13" baking pan. Sprinkle with nuts, then chocolate chips, then coconut. Pour the sweetened condensed milk over the mixture. Bake in a preheated oven at 350º for 20 minutes or until the coconut turns light brown. Cool on a wire rack, then cut into squares. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
