2009 Last Minute Travel Gifts

Here are some quick gift ideas for the traveler in your life!

Making Security Easier
I think we can all agree, it's great to get on a plane with some peace of mind that everyone and everything has been screened through the TSA, but there are a few things that, if everyone had them, would make life tons easier at security.
The 3-1-1 Totally Compliant Carry-on Kit. I love this, both as a gift for a fellow traveler and as something I use. Many infrequent travelers don't realize that the 3-1-1 rule means a quart-sized baggie. If a friend is going on a trip next year, help them out with this!

Second - my next favorite thing is definitely one of these babies: PacSafe Scansafe Checkpoint Friendly 15.4 In Laptop Case. The bag opens flat so there's no need to remove the laptop from the case; it's already in its own compartment, so when it's through the x-ray, it's zip and go.

Making Luggage Yours!
Another wonderful thing are Eagle Creek Travel Gear Travel Safe TSA Locks. They're colorful, so they stand out in a crowd of luggage that may be on a carousel (if you've checked your luggage, that is).

Giggling Along the Way
My next favorite thing - anything that makes me laugh, and these are just the ticket. Anne Taintor Looking For Trouble Luggage Tag, Anne Taintor Born To Be Wild Passport Holder, and Anne Taintor Totes. I love the sass of these practical items, and the giggle they give me - and others - when I use them is so worth it.

Having it All
I think every frequent traveler I ran into this year had this on their list for Christmas - Kindle Wireless Reading Device. Books in thirty seconds, and up to 1,500 of them at your fingertips (should you so desire) - could you ask for more?

Don't Forget You!
When you're picking out travel gifts, don't forget yourself! Set aside money each month to buy that plane ticket to that great destination and treat yourself to the trip you've always wanted to take. It's at the top of my list of to-do's.

Here's hoping you have a wonderful holiday season, however you spend it, and safe travels, always.
