About the BellaOnline Solo Travel Editor

Welcome to Solo Travel! My name is Christine Wilcox, and I’ll be assisting you in the Solo Travel space today. For your safety and solo travel comfort, I’ll be providing you with weekly updates, hints, tips, and tricks on hitting the road all by your lonesome without feeling as though you’d just be having more fun/less stress if only someone were with you. You’re with you! Enjoy!

After graduating in 1993 with a bachelors degree in English Literature, serendipity intervened and I happened upon a wonderful career in corporate communications and public relations. For the last 10 years, my main audience has been readers of newsletters and press releases, with the occasional blog post along the way. With 50% of my working life spent logging travel miles, I have become a seasoned solo traveler. I am thrilled to be able to share what I’ve learned with you, and am also looking forward to what we can learn from each other in this community so that all travel experiences can be made even better! And for those of you thinking, “Gosh, I don’t know that I could ever travel alone and enjoy it,” I’m hoping that you will find in this information the first and best reason to travel solo – solely for YOU!

Outside of my professional career, I also run a consulting company – Mosaic Creative Services – where I work with small companies who just need occasional communications expertise or business planning advice, and I also own a record label with a business partner – Sworn In Records – where I can fuse my communications skills with my passionate love for music and mentoring developing artists. To maintain my balance and perspective, I am a student of meditation, intuitive development, cooking and wine, and I make my home in Idaho.
