In His Righteousness

After serving the Lord all week, we should be happy to go to the house of the LORD. If we take time to examine ourselves, what would we find? Can we say that we are righteous or upright?

If the Lord asked one question to the devil concerning you, would you be prepared? According to Job 1:8, The Lord asked the devil, “Have you considered my servant Job? Would you be ready to prove your case?

There are some trials that we go through because we are being tested. Just as Job was considered by the devil with God’s recommendation, you could be next if you haven’t already been tested. If Job had been a lukewarm Christian, just going with the church flow, he would not have been able to stand on the Word of God and stay righteous. The bible tells us that Job lost everything that he had. He continued to trust and believe in God. His wife even told him to curse God and die. Through it all Job stayed faithful to God. In the end, Job was blessed with so much more than he lost. If you have not done so already, take time to read the Book of Job. There was none other like him in the earth.

Would you rather be spued out of God’s mouth or bragged on because of your uprightness? Christianity is so much more that going to church out of religion. Do you go to church because your family went there for years? Are you growing as a Christian? Are you becoming more and more like the Lord as the days go by? Church is so much more than a routine.

Church is the one place that you can go and worship with others regardless of the color of their skin. There is so much going on in this world. It is time to choose whom you will serve. Joshua 24:15 says, “And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell; but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.

In times of trouble, know where your help comes from. Keep your eyes on God. There will always be someone to discourage you and try to bring you down. There will be times that you will be tested. Your character will be attacked just because you serve the Lord. Regardless of what comes against you, keep your trust in the Lord. He will never leave you nor forsake you.

Be Blessed
