Brain Age Walkthrough -
Stroup Test / Color Naming

This is the game that everybody gets annoyed with. It's a classic puzzle, in fact we have versions of it here online at BellaOnline. You look at a word and have to say the color the word is WRITTEN IN, not the actual word you read. So if you saw

YELLOW

You would say "black" because that word was written in the color black. It might sound easy but it is really hard to do in practice. This game makes it even more difficult because its voice recognition skills are pretty poor. You have to do all the normal things as with any voice DS game - talk quietly, talk calmly, keep the DS a foot away from your face, speak clearly. Even so, the game always has problems.

The key here is to make sure you say each word the way the game wants you to. So that means:

Red - short, EH sound.
Yellow - two syllables, with EH then OH
Black - short, AK sound
Blue - this is the killer one. Just say LOO. For some reason the game gets this wrong for pretty much everyone who plays.

I laughed myself silly one time because I said "brown" as a color which isn't even an option in the game. I had just gotten myself really flustered somehow :) You have to do 50 of them in a row.

My top score here is 53 sec.

You don't get a "speed" result with this one.
