Call of Duty 2 Walkthrough
Defending the Pointe

June 7, 1944, 0610 hrs. 60F. You're waiting for the Germans to attack. You start out at the crossroads where the previous mission ended, in the middle of a massive firefight. Blast away at anything that seems remotely dangerous. The machine gun does nicely for this task. When this spot is clear, move along to the next spot. Your weapon selection improves as you go. We like the automatic rifle.

Soon you get a call about a tank coming - you all run away. You end up in an orchardy area. Just find a safe spot here and blast away until the coast is clear. He'll call out "get to a machine gun" - it's marked on the map with a star. Run up into the house and find itin the window to provide some cover. Checkpoint.

Shoot away at enemies until your pals are safe, then head down and back through the village area. Certain German types will try to interfere with you occasionally during your stroll. You have to go across an open field area, running for your lives. You get to a safe bunker area and now have to hold this against the invading army.

There's no timer here, just keep blasting away. At some point your pals will give up on this spot and you all run back to another star to hold up again. Now you get a 5 minute timer to hold out here before reinforcements show up. You can't get too far from the star - otherwise you're yelled at for abandoning your team. At about 2 minutes left you have to retreat yet again for a final standoff.

At about 30 seconds left, you all get close to the bunker and it's smoky. The final seconds tick away as you struggle to stay alive. Just pay atteniton, shoot and shoot. Checkpoint and victorious music swells around you. The good guys show up.

Victory!
