At the full end of each episode, you can choose one upgrade to get - either in guns, driving or fighting. These are the sequence of moves you can earn. For each upgrade you don't just "get" it - you must "earn" it by doing a course. These moves become part of your new style.

grapple #1 - whirlwind throw
The various grapples are only really important in the ending fights but you need them ALL to survive those fights at the end of the game. So practice with them a lot before then!
