About a Girl
Aneta Cruz
Black eyes glisten in the sunlight;
Arms are spread - so long and wide.
Seems as though she wants to take flight;
In a moment she changed her mind.
Small face turns up to meet the sun.
She laughs and screams a joyous sound.
She needs so little to have fun.
She turns and spins and turns around.
They walk past her and start to stare,
She keeps on spinning with a hum.
They realize - it is that girl,
Whose heart beats to a different drum.
