Poetry

Down the Rabbit Hole

Firefly

Separate me
from my reality
into darkness
splinter pieces
breaking away.

Where I can find
sublime solitude
different in the dark
where I hardly breathe
nocturnal lights
the moon crosses me.

Destitute of emotions
where barren waste
lays before my very eyes.
dry clay sands
ripple across
my aching heart.

Nothing is my lover
anguish my friend
together we sit
and watch the
grains flow through
the velvet chamber.
