Breathe

Elizabeth Divine

Today I took a walk in my home
And imagined
A sun-speckled garden, the touch of dew
Under my burning feet and the tingle
Of sun welcoming skin. There were leaves,
And brilliant bursts of petals
That tapped my shoulder with a reminder
To breathe in deep and taste the purple fragrance
Of this air.
