Roundup
Teresa Tumminello Brader
She corrals her memories as if catching crickets,
they skitter and jump until settling in for the day.
She accounts for each,
one by one,
as if they were her children,
frantic searching over a stray,
mourning every loss,
rejoicing at each return.
