The King and I by Karen Sorbello

Poetry

Masterpiece

Stacey S. Dye

My days run together
like over-diluted watercolors.
Light bleeds into dark,
dark into light.

No borders
or discernible patterns
illustrate the life
I long to paint for myself.

Oh, how I love the abstract -
in itīs Picasso-esque audacity.
But somehow, during the process
I lose my vision,
and all the lines blur.
